Appliance Removal Services Montreal
Eco-Friendly Appliance Removal & Disposal in Montréal, QC
Helios Services brings sustainability to every appliance removal job across Montréal and the surrounding boroughs. Old refrigerators, washers, dryers, and stoves often contain materials that shouldn’t end up in landfills, from refrigerants to recoverable metal components. Our appliance removal process is built around responsible sorting, partnering with local eco-centres to divert up to 80% of collected materials away from waste sites. Rather than simply hauling items away, the Helios Services team evaluates each piece for recycling or donation potential before disposal, giving Montréal residents a genuinely conscientious alternative to traditional junk removal.
Appliances We Pick Up
Washing machines
Our washing machine pickup begins with shutting off water valves and disconnecting hoses safely. Technicians secure the drum, wheel it out on padded dollies, then route steel parts to recycling partners.
Dryers & washer
Dryer and washer/dryer set removal involves disconnecting vent ducts and power cords first, then unbolting stacked units when paired. We carry each appliance separately, protecting doorframes, before separating drum metal for eco-centre processing.
Refrigerators & freezers
Refrigerator and freezer pickup requires proper refrigerant handling before transport. Our team empties, cleans, and secures each unit on a hand truck, then routes it to certified recyclers who safely reclaim coolant and metal.
Stoves, ovens & dishwashers
For stoves, ovens, and dishwashers, we disconnect gas lines or plumbing connections first, verify shutoff safety, then remove each unit carefully to avoid damaging cabinetry, sorting metal and electronic parts for recycling afterward.
Water heaters & large appliances
Water heater and bulky appliance removal starts with shutting off gas or electrical supply and draining remaining water safely. We then load units using dollies and straps, delivering them to partner facilities for responsible disposal.
